Lumiforte acquires Footline

Baarle-Nassau, The Netherlands, May 21, 2026 – Lumiforte is strengthening its European position in sports field line marking through the acquisition of Belgian market leader Footline. This strategic acquisition marks the next step in Lumiforte’s expansion in the European sports field line marking market, following its acquisition of Sportlines GmbH in Germany in July 2025.

Lumiforte is the global market leader in high-tech coatings for the agriculture and horticulture sectors, helping growers optimize the climate conditions for their crops and greenhouses. From Asia to South America, and from Canada to New Zealand, Lumiforte’s sustainable solutions are making an impact around the world. Its strong international footprint is supported by key shareholders Kartesia and Horticoop. In addition, the company develops, manufactures, and markets coatings and machines for sports field line marking in Europe and beyond under the brands Selectline, Serraline, and Sportlines.

For many years, Footline has been a leading player in Belgium in high-quality sports field line marking and materials for football, rugby, athletics, and other sports facilities. The company is known for its quality, reliability, and strong relationships with sports clubs, municipalities, and contractors.

Together, Lumiforte, Sportlines GmbH, and Footline form a strong European group with deep expertise, innovative products, and a solid local presence across several key markets.

“With the acquisition of Footline, we are welcoming a highly respected and experienced company into our group,” said Guido Janssen, CEO of Lumiforte. “Following the full integration of Sportlines GmbH in Germany earlier this year, this is a logical next step in our strategy to become the leading European reference in sports field line marking. Footline brings outstanding market knowledge, craftsmanship, and customer relationships that align perfectly with our ambitions.”

For Footline, joining Lumiforte creates new opportunities for further growth and to benefit from international scale, innovation capabilities, and product development.

Marc Tratsaert, CEO of Footline, added: “By becoming part of Lumiforte, we can continue serving our customers with the quality and service they have come to expect from us, while also gaining access to new technologies, products, and international expertise. This opens the door to further professionalization and growth, both in Belgium and beyond.”

Footline will continue to operate under its own name and with its current team, ensuring continuity for customers and partners. Its activities will be integrated into Lumiforte’s sports field line marking division alongside Sportlines GmbH.
